Obeying authorities is obeying God

“Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme.” (1 Peter 2:13) . We show our submission to Christ when we submit to governing authorities. Submission, as defined, is the act of accepting the authority or control of someone else. Submission creates obedience or compliance, respect, conformity and subordination. Without authority, there is unruliness, disorder, dishonesty, deception and immorality. . SHOWING OUR SUBMISSION. “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” (Romans 13:1). Citizens should not be self-absorbed and careless not to be subject to authority.
